Shiseido is starting research on hair regenerative medicine.

The beauty company is collaborating with the Canadian bio-venture company, RepliCel Life Sciences, Inc., and paying 400 million yen for its hair regeneration technology.

Shiseido says it has plans to target the entire Asian region, including Japan, with these new products. The company intends to “integrate beauty and medicine” to help cure pattern baldness and thinning hair, over the next five years.
